The piece is crafted from multi-layered glass using the pâte-de-verre (glass paste) technique. The central part of the body is adorned with high-relief frieze running around its circumference, depicting expressive, grotesque theatrical masks of comedy and tragedy (mascarons), separated by vertical geometric zigzag patterns. The composition is crowned by decorative band of circular floral rosettes.
