Marks: Cameo-pressed mark "G. Argy-Rousseau" on the body. "FRANCE" on the base.
The vase features a classical amphora silhouette with gently flared circular rim on a flat base, crafted from multicolour glass using the pâte-de-verre (glass paste) technique. The central part of the body is adorned with relief frieze running around its circumference, depicting a Greek meander pattern in emerald and blue shades. The entire surface of thevase is covered with a rhythmic relief pattern mimicking scales or fine waves.
