A ballroom scene is depicted on a rectangular, vertically oriented sheet with rounded corners. It features a full-length portrait of a military officer, shown from the back with his head turned three-quarters toward the viewer. Other figures are sketched nearby: a lady in a ball gown to his left, and another military officer to his right. In the upper part of the sheet, there is an inscription in French: “Un beau danseur et ses Trophées” (translated as: A Beautiful Dancer).
In the lower-left corner, the author's signature and date are written in graphite pencil: Зichy 88.
