A sculpted figure of a young girl, seated on the ground with her legs tucked underneath her, is positioned on a shaped plinth. Dressed in a gown and sporting a bob haircut, her torso is turned in a three-quarter view; she rests her right hand on the ground and places her left hand on her leg.

Felisa de Alvear was the daughter of Federico de Alvear, a prominent representative of the Argentine community in Paris. She was passionate about sports and horse racing.
