Rectangular gold snuffbox with rounded corners and a hinged lid fitted with a thumb piece. Placed within the profiled gold mounts of both the lid and the base are inset panels of rock crystal. Centered on the lid is an architectural landscape scene with birds, inlaid with gold and mother-of-pearl. The sides are decorated with shaped reserves containing floral motifs, images of birds, dragonflies, and military trophies.
