A scene depicting two men embracing is presented on a rectangular, vertically oriented sheet with rounded corners. The man on the left is Prince Sergei Nikitich Trubetskoy (1829–1899), a Grand Court Marshal and Actual Privy Councillor. In the upper center of the sheet, there is an inscription executed in graphite pencil: “Un rêve de volupté réciproque” (translated as: A dream of mutual voluptuousness).
The author's signature and date are located in the lower-right corner in graphite pencil: Зichy 87.
