A full-length portrait shows a young woman within an interior. She is depicted wearing a low-cut dress adorned with a brooch on the chest and a long, three-strand pearl necklace. Her hair is arranged in a styled coiffure, and she wears pearl earrings. Her head is turned three-quarters to the left. With one hand, she holds a strand of pearls, while holding a transparent veil with the other. She is depicted against a fireplace with a mirror that reflects a window and a ceiling; a vase stands on the mantelpiece. A dedicatory inscription, signature, and date are located in the lower-left section: “Zichy à son ami Grofs (?) 1859” (translated from French as: From Zichy to his friend).
