Stamped inside on the base with the Austrian triple mark system (1872–1922): featuring the city letter code "A" for Vienna, a fox head assay mark facing left, and the metal fineness number "4" (750/1000) within a polygonal shield. Also stamped with an illegible maker's mark "J-..." inside a rectangular shield with clipped corners. Stamped on the rim with the mark of the Russian artisan Britsyn "БРИЦЫНЪ" within a rectangular shield with rounded corners (1903–1917), and a poorly legible triple mark of the St. Petersburg District Assay Office within an oval shield (1908-1917) showing a woman's head in a kokoshnik facing right, along with the fineness mark "72" (750/1000)
Gold presentation snuff box of rectangular form with canted corners, featuring a hinged lid. The exterior of the lid is decorated with rectangular enamel plaque, finely painted with a scene depicting two workers pouring molten metal into a mold, with the metal itself realistically represented by diamond inlay. Appliqué numbers set with diamonds indicating the dates "1905–1930" are below the image. The plaque is framed by a chased border of leaves and flowers against a matted (chased) ground. The sides of the snuff box are decorated with engine-turned (guilloché) panels, bordered above and below by a chased palmette frieze; the canted corners are similarly adorned with palmettes. The base is decorated with a border of chased floral and foliate swags along the perimeter, centering an engine-turned panel accented with chased palmettes at the corners.
