    An interior scene is depicted on a rectangular, vertically oriented sheet with rounded corners. A full-length portrait shows a guard who has fallen asleep by a wall. A bench is visible to his left. In the upper center of the sheet, the series title is written in black ink: “FÊTE À LA COUR” (translated from French as: Court Celebrations). In the lower central section of the sheet, there is an inscription in French: “Supplice de Tantale” (translated as: The Torments of Tantalus).

    The author's signature and date are located in the lower-left section of the sheet: Зichy 89.
