Sketch for fan leaf featuring multi-figure composition that depicts military choir. Guardsmen, in full-length light cloth greatcoats, white trousers, and headdresses, are arranged full-length in semicircle. Most stand with one hand on hip. Three hold musical instruments: a triangle, cymbals, and a tambourine. Two figures stand out in front center. One, wearing greenish (?) uniform with scarlet center insert and holding jingle bells in both hands, performs solo; second, in full-length greatcoat, conducts. Each man wears a medal on blue ribbon on chest.
